England trio Rice, Guehi and James take to the pitch in preparation for Norway World Cup showdown

England's World Cup quarter-final preparations received a significant lift on Friday as Declan Rice, Marc Guehi, and Reece James all rejoined training, bolstering the team's chances against Norway.
nReece James, the Chelsea captain, had been sidelined for the last three games due to a hamstring injury, posing a challenge for coach Thomas Tuchel in the right-back position given the limited alternatives.
nJarell Quansah's suspension, resulting from a red card in the 3-2 victory over Mexico in the last 16, paved the way for James' likely return to the starting line-up on Saturday.
nBoth Marc Guehi and Declan Rice had played the entire match against Mexico, but subsequently missed training on Wednesday, sparking concerns about their availability.
nGuehi, a Manchester City defender, is working to overcome a hamstring strain, which could see him face club teammate Erling Haaland if he is selected to play against Norway.
nMeanwhile, Rice has been managing a hamstring issue and had also been affected by illness earlier in the week, but his return to training on Friday is a positive development for England.
