PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu has called upon Nigerian Muslims to reaffirm their devotion to the principles of the holy month, which underscore the importance of piety, empathy, and unity among all people.

This appeal was made in a congratulatory message issued by the President to the Muslim community as they commemorated Eid-el-Fitr, marking the conclusion of Ramadan, alongside Muslims worldwide.

In a statement released by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu encouraged Muslims to recommit themselves to the nation and humanity, emphasizing the need to uphold the values of the holy month.

President Tinubu emphasized that the lessons of Ramadan, including its emphasis on piety, empathy, and unity, offer valuable guidance, particularly in the current times, and urged Muslims to continue embodying these virtues beyond the holy month.

He stated, "We have a lot to draw from the noble lessons of Ramadan, especially at a time like this, and we must continue to abide by the virtues of piety, selflessness, perseverance, kindness and compassion beyond this period," highlighting the enduring significance of these values.
