Development: Senate launches vetting process for ministerial candidate Darma
The screening of Muttaqha Darma as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has commenced in the Senate, with the ministerial nominee currently facing questioning from senators in the chamber, having been led in at 12.32 pm.
nPresident Bola Tinubu had submitted a request to the Senate on Wednesday for the screening and confirmation of Muttaqha Rabe Darma as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
nThe communication from President Tinubu was read by Akpabio, who then referred it to the Committee of the Whole for further legislative action.
nAkpabio also issued a directive for the committee to report back as soon as possible, paving the way for the next steps in Darma's confirmation process.
