Deputy Senate President Urges Worldwide Harmony on Eid-el-Fitr, Lauds Tinubu

Deputy Senate President Senator Barau Jibrin, representing Kano North on the APC ticket, has extended warm felicitations to Muslims across Nigeria as they mark the successful completion of Ramadan, amidst heightened global tensions including the ongoing US/Israel-Iran conflict, and is urging the community to maintain their prayers for global peace.

Senator Jibrin's message of goodwill was conveyed through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, in which he also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his tireless efforts to stabilize the economy and tackle insecurity through policy reforms and interventions.

Jibrin expressed optimism regarding President Tinubu's directive to security chiefs to relocate to Maiduguri in response to recent terrorist attacks, believing this move would help neutralize the threat of criminal elements in the region and ultimately bring about greater security.

He encouraged the Muslim community to embody the spirit of Ramadan in their daily lives, reflecting on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad and spreading love, kindness, and assistance to those in need, both during the festive period and beyond.

Senator Jibrin gave thanks to Almighty Allah for the successful completion of Ramadan 1447AH, describing the occasion as a time for joy, gratitude, and peaceful celebration, and urged his constituents to help those in need and ensure a harmonious Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

As a gesture of goodwill for Eid-el-Fitr, Senator Jibrin disbursed a total of N157 million to his constituents across the 13 Local Government Areas of Kano North Senatorial District, aiming to support residents and particularly the less privileged in celebrating the festival with dignity.

Over 60,000 gift bags have been distributed across Kano North and other areas of Kano State, as part of Senator Jibrin's efforts to support local residents and bring ease and joy to their Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.

Senator Jibrin also drew attention to the potential impact of the forthcoming 2026 budget, currently under review by the National Assembly, in addressing the nation's infrastructure gaps and other pressing developmental challenges.
