Daughter of Fuji legend K1 De Ultimate announces run for Surulere constituency position

Damilola Marshal, the daughter of King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, also known as K1 De Ultimate, has officially announced her candidacy for a seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly, with the goal of representing Surulere Constituency 2.

Marshal, who currently serves as Senior Special Assistant on Tourism to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, shared the news with her followers on Instagram on Tuesday, expressing her enthusiasm for the role.

In her Instagram post, Marshal stated that she is eager to serve the people of Surulere Constituency 2, highlighting her extensive legal background and the insights it has given her into governance, justice, and community concerns.

With over a decade of experience in the legal field, Marshal emphasized her ability to deliver results, declaring herself ready to serve and lead, and promising to be a vocal advocate for the youth in the House of Assembly.

As a young woman, Marshal believes that her candidacy is exactly what her constituents need, and she urged voters to prioritize capability and development when making their decision.

Marshal concluded her message by urging her supporters to rally behind her, ending with the phrase "Youth Lokan!!! Igbega Eko, Ajumose wa ni," as she seeks to succeed Mosunmola Rotimi Sangodara, the current representative of Surulere Constituency 2 under the All Progressives Congress.

As the second daughter of K1 De Ultimate, Marshal holds a law degree from North America University, Houdegbe in Cotonou, Benin Republic, and was called to the Nigerian Bar on December 15, 2015.

She furthered her education by earning a Master of Laws degree from the University of Lagos in 2022, and was appointed Senior Special Assistant on Tourism by Governor Sanwo-Olu on May 3, 2024.
