Dangote increases fuel cost to ₦1,175 per litre for the third time this month
The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has made a significant change to its pricing, with the gantry price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) now standing at ₦1,175 per litre, which is the third time the price has gone up in just seven days.
nThis latest move, which was announced to marketers and depot operators on Monday, has resulted in the ex-depot price increasing by ₦180 from ₦995 per litre, which was the price announced just three days prior on Friday, representing an 18.1 per cent increase.
nThe refinery has also made adjustments to the price of another fuel type, with the gantry price of Automotive Gas Oil (diesel) now at ₦1,620 per litre.
nThis recent price hike is not an isolated incident, as it follows earlier changes that saw gantry prices rise from ₦774 to ₦995 per litre in the space of just one week.
