Cubana Chief Priest Fails to Secure APC House of Representatives Nomination in Imo State
Cubana Chief Priest, whose real name is Pascal Okechukwu, has suffered a setback in his bid for a seat in the House of Representatives, losing the All Progressives Congress primary election.
nThe highly contested primary was for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East federal constituency seat, which Cubana Chief Priest had hoped to secure ahead of the 2027 general elections.
nUltimately, it was Canice More Nwachukwu, the current incumbent for the constituency, who emerged victorious, defeating Cubana Chief Priest in the process.
nNwachukwu is currently serving his second term, having already established a strong presence in the constituency.
nCubana Chief Priest has been a vocal supporter of the current government and the All Progressives Congress, demonstrating his commitment to the party's ideals.
nAdditionally, he was appointed as the Imo State director of the City Boy Movement, a youth-focused support group established to back Tinubu's re-election bid.
