Complete Roster: TINUBU Gives Nod to Diplomatic Assignments Abroad

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has given his approval for the posting of 31 career and 34 non-career ambassadors to various countries and the United Nations, following their confirmation by the Senate last December.

According to Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has received agreements from the United Kingdom and France for the ambassadors assigned to these countries.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has obtained the necessary agreement from the United Kingdom for Ambassador Aminu Dalhatu, who has been designated as the High Commissioner, and France has also sent its agréement for Ambassador Ayo Oke.

The Ministry has conveyed the nominations of the 62 designated envoys to all the countries concerned, including a request for their agréements, as is standard diplomatic practice, as stated in the official statement.

President Tinubu has instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to immediately commence the induction programme for the ambassadors-designate and High Commissioners.

The list of non-career ambassadors includes Senator Grace Bent, who will be posted to Lome-Togo, and Senator Ita Enang, who will be posted to South Africa.

Other non-career ambassadors include Ikpeazu Victor, who will be posted to Spain, and Nkechi Linda Ufochukwu, who will be posted to Tel-Aviv, Israel.

Further non-career ambassadors include Mahmud Yakubu, who will be posted to Qatar, and Paul Oga Adikwu, who will be posted to the Vatican City Holy See.

Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas will be posted to the Philippines, while Mr. Reno Omokri will be posted to Mexico City, Mexico.

Hon. Abasi Braimah will be posted to Budapest, Hungary, and Mrs. Erelu Angela Adebayo will be posted to Portugal.

Barr. Olumilua Oluwayimika Ayotunwa will be posted to Tokyo, Japan, and Rt. Hon. Ugwuanyi Ifeanyi Lawrence will be posted to Athens, Greece.
