Community of Tuggar pays tribute to former Bauchi State deputy governor Sule Katagum

Amb. Yusuf Tuggar, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, has conveyed his sorrow upon learning of the demise of Audu Sule-Katagum, the former Deputy Governor of Bauchi State.

In a condolence message released on Sunday in Bauchi by his media aide, Alkasim Abdulkadir, Tuggar paid tribute to Sule-Katagum, portraying him as a revered elder, a dependable leader, and a dedicated son of Katagum whose selfless service and humility left an indelible mark on numerous lives.

Tuggar lamented that with Sule-Katagum's passing, Bauchi State and the Katagum Emirate have been deprived of one of their most distinguished sons, and his wise counsel, benevolence, and unwavering dedication to his people's well-being will be deeply felt.

He expressed his heartfelt condolences to the Emir of Katagum, the Katagum Emirate Council, the family of the deceased, and the people of the state, while also offering prayers to Allah to pardon Sule-Katagum's shortcomings and grant him a place in Aljannatul Firdaus.

Tuggar further prayed for comfort to be bestowed upon those grieving the loss of Sule-Katagum, who held the esteemed chieftaincy title of Wazirin Katagum.

Sule-Katagum passed away on Saturday at the age of 69, and in accordance with Islamic traditions, he was laid to rest shortly after.

During his tenure, Sule-Katagum served as deputy to Gov. Mohammed Abubakar from 2018 to 2019, leaving behind a legacy of service and dedication.
