Coming 2027: Amaewhule, Hart, and Eleven Other Candidates Secure APC Nominations for House of Representatives Seats, Including Rivers State Assembly Speaker

Rt. Hon. Martin Chike Amaewhule, the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly and representative of Degema/Bonny Federal Constituency, has emerged as one of the winners of the All Progressives Congress tickets for House of Representatives seats, alongside 12 other aspirants, following the party's primaries held on Saturday.

Announcing the results on Saturday, Hon. Wahab Owokoniran, Chairman of the APC primary election committee for the House of Representatives, revealed the outcome of the exercise, which saw Amaewhule and others clinch their respective tickets.

Amaewhule, who is vying for the Obio/Akpor seat currently held by Hon. Kingsley Chinda, the Minority Leader of the House, garnered a total of 17,968 votes to secure his ticket, while Hart Cyril Godwin polled 7,203 votes to win his own ticket.

Other winners declared in the primaries include Felix Uche Nwaeke, who won the ticket for Eleme/Tai/Oyigbo federal constituency, and Hon. Dunamene R. Dekor, who emerged victorious in the Gokana/Khana constituency.

Hon. Solomon Bob was declared the winner for Abua/Odual/Ahoada East, while Rt. Hon. Victor Chukwuemele Ebuzor won the ticket for Ahoada West/Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni, and Onyeozu Joy Nyebuchi emerged as the winner for Ikwerre/Emohua.

Linda Somiari Stewart won the ticket for Okrika/Ogu-Bolo, Isobo Jack Solomon emerged victorious in Akuku-Toru/Asari-Toru, and Ozuzum Chibuzor Nwamka won the ticket for Etche/Omuma.

Frederick B. Apiafi was declared the winner for Andoni/Opobo-Nkoro, Hon. Igwe Precious won the ticket for Port Harcourt 1, and Hon. Blessing Chibery Amadi emerged as the winner for Port Harcourt 2 federal constituency.
