Civil Defense Corps Investigates Death of Aid Distributor During Relief Effort

The Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has initiated an investigation into the death of Buhari Haruna, a volunteer worker who was killed during the distribution of Ramadan palliatives in the Tudun Wada Local Government Area.

This incident occurred while a humanitarian programme was being organised by Alhassan Ado Doguwa, the member representing Tudun Wada/Doguwa Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives.

Ibrahim Abdullahi, the command's spokesperson, stated that the command is working closely with the divisional officer to determine the circumstances surrounding the death of Buhari Haruna, who was a supporting volunteer staff member.

According to Abdullahi, a skirmish in Tudun Wada led to the incident, and the command is currently investigating the matter to ascertain the next course of action.

The incident has sparked a political scandal, with the lawmaker, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, claiming that the NSCDC worker was killed by hoodlums who attempted to disrupt the event.

However, some politicians in the area have accused the lawmaker of being responsible for the incident, further fuelling the controversy surrounding the death of Buhari Haruna.
