CHIEF OTUARO DEEPENS PEACE INITIATIVE WITH PHASE 2 LEADERSHIP TRAINING FOR NIGER DELTA STA

In a move that continues to solidify his reputation as a transformative and proactive leader, the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Chief Dennis Brutu Otuaro, PhD, has once again demonstrated his unwavering commitment to building sustainable peace in the Niger Delta. We, the Dr. Dennis Otuaro Volunteer Media Team, applaud the launch of the second phase of the leadership training for stakeholders and leaders, which commenced yesterday, July 30th, 2025, in Abuja.

This strategic masterstroke is not an isolated event but a deliberate continuation of a well-articulated plan. It builds directly on the resounding success of the intensive training for Phase 1 leaders just two weeks ago, proving that Chief Otuaro’s administration is one of consistency, purpose, and tangible results. This back-to-back scheduling shows a sense of urgency and a clear vision to rapidly cascade essential peace-building skills throughout the region's leadership structure.

At the heart of this initiative is the powerful theme: "Leadership, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Mediation." This three-day intensive programme, held in a strategic collaboration with the esteemed Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC), is far more than a simple seminar. It is a profound investment in human capital. It is designed to meticulously equip our leaders with the critical knowledge, modern skills, and right disposition required to preemptively manage conflicts and mediate disputes at the grassroots level.

This is the very essence of visionary leadership: empowering people to solve their own problems. By decentralizing peace-building and strengthening local conflict resolution mechanisms, Chief Otuaro is not just treating symptoms; he is curing the ailment. He is fostering a new generation of responsible leaders who can champion dialogue over discord, ensuring that disagreements are resolved before they escalate. This proactive approach is the bedrock upon which lasting socio-economic development and regional stability will be built.

We wholeheartedly commend Chief Dennis Otuaro for this people-centric approach. His insight in identifying the need for enhanced leadership and mediation skills as a cornerstone for a more stable Niger Delta is laudable. This ongoing training series reinforces the peace-building architecture of the region and signals a new dawn for the Presidential Amnesty Programme under his capable guidance.

The Dr. Dennis Otuaro Volunteer Media Team is proud to associate with this forward-thinking leadership and will continue to support these noble efforts to usher in an era of unprecedented peace and prosperity for the Niger Delta.
