Blessing CEO Expresses Regret, Maintains Truthfulness Amid Cancer Dispute, Pledges to Reimburse Donors

Blessing Okoro, a Nigerian influencer known as Blessing CEO, has issued an apology to the public after facing intense backlash over her claims of health issues, while maintaining that she did not fabricate these issues.

At 36 years old, Blessing CEO broke her silence after weeks of controversy, posting a video message on Instagram in which she offered a "genuine apology" for the confusion and public outrage surrounding her health claims.

In her apology, she expressed regret for the drama and embarrassment caused, stating "I am sorry for the unnecessary drama, embarrassment, and controversy surrounding my health issues" and promised to be more transparent in the future.

Blessing CEO vowed to share her medical reports, including scans and biopsy results, with the public, saying "I will start by officially uploading my scan results and biopsy details and keep you all informed every step of the way" and assured her followers that she did not lie about her health issues.

She also announced plans to release detailed medical documentation to address her claims and document her health journey publicly, including scan results and biopsy reports.

In a gesture of goodwill, Blessing CEO offered refunds to those who felt uncomfortable with the controversy, asking them to provide proof of payment and their account details via direct message or WhatsApp.

She expressed gratitude to those who had supported her, saying "Thank you so much for all the love and well wishes" and asked for continued prayers and support.

The controversy surrounding Blessing CEO began earlier this year when she announced that she was battling stage four cancer and appealed for financial support from the public.

Her claims were quickly disputed after Xinus Medical Diagnostics alleged that the medical report she shared had been altered and originally belonged to another patient, sparking intense scrutiny.

A woman named Deborah Mbara later accused Blessing CEO of manipulating medical documents to mislead the public and explained how her medical report was allegedly used without consent.

Deborah's family subsequently petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), accusing Blessing CEO of cyberbullying, forgery, and obtaining money under false pretences.

The Nigerian Cancer Society (NCS) also called for a full-scale investigation into alleged false cancer claims and suspected donation misconduct amid growing outrage over the credibility of her public fundraising appeal.
