Bishop Oyedepo pronounces heavenly retribution on kidnappers to occur within a week

Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, has pronounced judgment on bandits and their sponsors, declaring that divine retribution is imminent.

This declaration was made during a church service on Sunday, which was themed "Covenant Day of Vengeance", at the church headquarters in Ota, Ogun state.

Oyedepo stated that within a period of seven days, those responsible for killings and kidnappings across Nigeria, as well as their sponsors, would face divine judgment, saying "Except I am not sent, in the next seven days, I declare judgment upon those responsible for these disasters and their sponsors in Jesus' name".

The cleric predicted that the coming week would be characterized by "testimonies of vengeance" for the nation, emphasizing that God's intervention was imminent.

While preaching on pathways to sanctification, Oyedepo cautioned congregants against spiritual laxity, highlighting that ungodliness hinders supernatural breakthroughs and tarnishes one's destiny.

Oyedepo explained that ungodliness leads to shame and reproach, warning that believers who fail to embrace holiness risk losing access to eternity, which remains the ultimate goal.

According to Oyedepo, the persistence of wickedness would continue until God intervenes, as he stated "Until the God of vengeance shows up, the wicked will not give up".
