Belemzy holds Holy Ghost crusade in Port Harcourt

US-based Nigerian preacher and founder of Queen Belemzy Ministries-School of Power, Apostle Queen Belemzy, has brought her three-day “Holy Ghost Encounter” crusade to Port Harcourt as part of activities marking her 46th birthday.

The programme, which began on Sunday, September 27, 2026, is scheduled to end on Tuesday, September 29, her birthday, as part of the ministry’s ongoing evangelistic outreaches across the country.

The crusade is holding at the Reens Suites and Apartments Event Centre, where Christian faithful, including followers and partners of the ministry from Nigeria, other African countries, Europe and the United States, gathered for the programme.

Speaking with journalists on the first day of the crusade, the Port Harcourt-born cleric said she chose to celebrate her birthday by preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to her people after receiving what she described as divine direction.

Belemzy said she previously celebrated her birthdays with parties as a promoter before becoming a Christian, adding that she had since devoted her birthday celebrations to the service of God.

“God told me to come and do my birthday celebration here. I used to be a party promoter and I used to do birthday parties every year in the club, big ones, and since I got saved, God told me from now on I will do the party for the glory of God,” she said.

She added: “Right now, it’s Jesus’ party. So he told me to come to Port Harcourt and do it. This is where I was born. This is my hometown. I am from here.”

The cleric, who is known for using social media platforms to spread messages of salvation, deliverance and restoration, said the three-day programme was designed to provide participants with an opportunity to deepen their faith and experience what she described as genuine encounters with Jesus Christ.

According to her, the programme would also focus on prayers for healing, restoration and deliverance, as well as the spiritual renewal of the nation.

“Jesus is the light of the world, and this is the word he’s been giving me since I came for this programme. Nigeria is about to experience the light of the world—Jesus Christ, and he is set to remove every darkness and bring light into their lives. Nigeria is about to be great again,” she said.

Belemzy also said the programme would extend beyond spiritual activities, as she planned to provide material assistance to some participants.

“Usually, I give free items to people. Last year when I did it, I gave free clothes, free Bibles, and money to people to start businesses. We’re going to do that even this time,” she said.

The opening session featured praise, worship and testimonies, while Belemzy also led participants in prayers and ministration.

The programme is expected to attract more delegates from across Nigeria and beyond before its conclusion on Tuesday.
