Authorities launch probe into Lagos murder of Agali

The Lagos State Police Command announced via its official X page that it had commenced investigations into the reported shooting, confirming that Adedipe Adeyinkan, popularly known as "Agali", was the victim of the incident that occurred on April 11, 2026, at about 11:30 p.m. on National Stadium Bridge inward Iponri.

The police stated that the victim, Adedipe Adeyinkan, was taken to Mainland General Hospital, Yaba, where he was pronounced dead, and that an investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A scene was witnessed by a correspondent on Saturday, where a white car and a black car were present, surrounded by uniformed police officers, at about 11:52 p.m., which initially appeared to be an accident scene.

Although the police have not released further details, social media reports claim that the deceased, Adedipe Adeyinkan, was a prominent figure within the Buccaneers confraternity in the Surulere axis.
