Atiku's associate blasts Keyamo, claims Tinubu's 'aura of unstoppable power' is rapidly unraveling narrative

Phrank Shaibu, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has countered claims made by Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, regarding President Bola Tinubu's supposed political advantage over opposition rivals ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Keyamo's assertions were sparked by a post on his verified X account on Sunday, where he highlighted President Tinubu's notable trajectory through Nigerian politics, stating that the president "fought from the deep end of opposition to become President of Nigeria).

Shaibu swiftly responded on his X handle, @phrankangel, arguing that a history of political victories holds little significance without a corresponding governance record, saying "Tinubu may have excelled in opposition politics, but governance is about results, not rhetoric.

He further emphasized that "the myth of invincibility is often the last refuge of a failing narrative," implying that President Tinubu's past successes do not guarantee future performance.

In a more detailed response, Shaibu noted that Nigerians are currently concerned about rising hunger, persistent insecurity, and an unbearable cost of living, rather than past political victories.

He stated that being "100 steps ahead" should translate to improved lives for citizens, rather than merely showcasing clever political storytelling, and that the current situation suggests a government struggling to address the crises it faces.

Shaibu asserted that history may remember political battles, but the present will judge leadership based on performance, and that no amount of myth-making can conceal the truth, ultimately labeling President Tinubu as "an abysmal FAILURE!".
