Armed kidnappers seize the spouse and twin kids of a sibling of former power minister Adelabu in Ibadan

Adeola Badru reports that gunmen have abducted the wife and twin children of the younger brother of Chief Adebayo Adelabu, the immediate past Minister of Power and an All Progressives Congress governorship aspirant for the 2027 Oyo State election.

The abduction occurred on Monday morning in the Challenge area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, where the victims were taken by force.

Femi Awogboro, one of Adelabu's media aides, confirmed the incident, stating that the victims were seized by unidentified gunmen while travelling in the city.

According to Awogboro, the victims included Adelabu's junior brother's wife, Laide, and her twins, Peter and Paul, who were kidnapped at Elewura, Challenge, Ibadan.

Awogboro provided further details, explaining that the family was attacked and whisked away by unknown kidnappers while travelling from Elewura to link the express.

Olayinka Ayanlade, the spokesperson for the Oyo State Police Command, was contacted for confirmation and responded, saying she could not independently verify the information at that time and asked to be held on.
