Area Fada Charly Boy marks Peter Obi's 65th birthday with praise

Charles Oputa, popularly known as CharlyBoy, a renowned entertainer and activist, has extended warm birthday greetings to Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Party, on his 65th birthday, which fell on Sunday.

CharlyBoy took to his X page, formerly Twitter, to express his heartfelt prayers and well-wishes to Obi, penning a series of posts that conveyed his sincere sentiments.

In one of the posts, CharlyBoy wrote, "As you add another year, may your strength increase, may your courage multiply, and may your love for this country survive all the attacks, insults, and distractions, for they are simply scavengers."

He further emphasized the significance of Obi's role, stating, "Nigeria still needs voices that are not afraid to tell power the truth," and concluded with a warm birthday message, addressing Obi as "my brother".

CharlyBoy praised the former Anambra State Governor, describing him as a beacon of hope for the younger generation, demonstrating that a better Nigeria is possible through sacrifices.

He acknowledged Obi's remarkable ability to inspire millions, stating, "In a country where many people have stopped expecting anything from their leaders, you have somehow made millions believe that a better Nigeria is still possible," and commended him, saying, "Well done, that is no small feat".

CharlyBoy also announced that he is set to release his memoir, titled "999", a tell-all story of his life's journey, with a foreword by former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

The public presentation of the book is scheduled to take place on July 31 in Lagos, as part of efforts to promote the memoir on a global scale.

In a bid to showcase the memoir on the international stage, digital billboards at the iconic New York Times Square in the United States have recently displayed the book.
