APC Secretary: Tinubu delivering on his promise to the Nigerian people

Dr Ajibola Basiru, the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, has affirmed that President Bola Tinubu is diligently working to honour his commitment to the Nigerian people, in accordance with the principles of Eid-el-Kabir.

This assurance was given by Basiru while speaking with journalists after participating in the two raka’ah prayer at the Freedom Park Prayer Ground in Osogbo.

According to Basiru, President Tinubu remains resolute in his quest to restore Nigeria's greatness, echoing the symbolic significance of Eid-el-Kabir, which represents the fulfilment of a covenant, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son, Ismail.

Basiru explained that President Tinubu is striving to fulfill the promises made to Nigerians, just as Prophet Ibrahim's commitment was tested before Allah intervened by replacing his son with a ram.

The National Secretary urged Nigerians to continue supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, citing the President's recent acknowledgement of the country's challenges and his efforts to address economic issues, security challenges, and youth employment.

Basiru also appealed to Nigerians to pray for the success of the country, as President Tinubu works to elevate Nigeria and provide education for the children of the poor.

Regarding the crisis within the APC following its primary elections, Basiru expressed confidence in the party's ability to resolve disputes through its strong conflict resolution mechanism.

He emphasized the need for peaceful resolution, both before and after primary elections, and encouraged the party to establish measures to address all disputes that may arise.

Basiru further advised the winners of the elections to be inclusive and supportive of those who were not successful, while also calling on leaders to create a fair and equitable environment for political participation.
