APC is the sole party that has been tried and proven to deliver stability and advancement — Yilwatda

Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has affirmed that the party remains Nigeria's most credible and durable political platform, capable of delivering stability, progress, and national renewal.

According to Yilwatda, the APC has demonstrated the necessary institutional strength, national spread, and political discipline to effectively govern a complex and diverse country like Nigeria, emphasizing that the nation cannot afford to experiment with unstable alternatives.

The APC chairman described the party as a tested and enduring political machine with the capacity to respond to the real needs of Nigerians, unlike an ad hoc coalition held together by convenience.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Communications Strategy, Abimbola Tooki, Yilwatda noted that the party is focused on strengthening governance, deepening democratic culture, and rebuilding public trust, in addition to preparing for future elections.

Yilwatda acknowledged that governance comes with challenges but maintained that the APC remains committed to supporting reforms aimed at achieving long-term stability, economic growth, and national development.

The APC chairman criticized opposition parties, citing their internal crises as evidence of a lack of preparedness for national leadership, stating that a party that cannot govern itself cannot govern Nigeria.

Yilwatda pointed to persistent factional disputes, legal battles, and internal divisions within opposition platforms as signs of structural weakness, urging Nigerians to distinguish between capacity and noise.

The APC chairman expressed confidence in the party's growing grassroots structures, internal reforms, and national acceptance, which he believes will ultimately lead to electoral success.

On electoral competition, Yilwatda stated that the party believes in winning through popular support rather than technical disqualifications or legal maneuvers, emphasizing that victory is more legitimate when it is freely given by the people.

The APC chairman described the party's approach to electoral competition as one that prioritizes persuasion, performance, and organization, with the goal of defeating opponents at the ballot box.

Regarding national security, Yilwatda highlighted the ongoing mass trial of over 500 terrorism-related suspects as a significant step toward strengthening the rule of law and ensuring accountability.

He noted that this development reflects a broader strategy by the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which combines military action, intelligence coordination, and judicial processes to tackle insecurity.

Yilwatda commended the APC state chapter in Osun State for its growing organisational strength but warned against complacency ahead of future elections, calling for a disciplined, data-driven, and well-coordinated campaign structure.

The APC chairman emphasized the need for unity, clear leadership, and effective conflict resolution mechanisms within the party, stating that Osun is not just another election, but a test of organisational discipline and a rehearsal ground for 2027.
