Dear Chief Dr.Samuel Ogbuku ,
My name is Chief Inko Brightstar a.k.a Whoknows Tomorrow, a committed member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Financial Secretary of Southern Ijaw Ward 13. Sir, I write this open letter respectfully to draw your attention to an important matter that I believe concerns the unity and stability of our party, as well as your leadership as a respected figure in the Niger Delta.
There is a common saying in politics that “there are no permanent enemies or permanent friends, only permanent interests.” It is in this spirit, and in the interest of the APC, that I humbly offer this piece of advice.
Sir, I have recently observed that an individual who was previously known for openly criticizing your leadership and the leadership of His Excellency Chief Timipre Sylva, has begun to associate closely around you. While politics allows for changes in alignment, it is also wise to approach certain relationships with caution, especially when past actions raise concerns.
This particular individual, well known in Brass Local Government Area was once a beneficiary of Chief Timipre Sylva’s political support. However, he later became associated with actions and petitions that were widely discussed within the party circles and interpreted by many as hostile to the same leader that once uplifted him. Today, he is believed to be loyal to the current Minister of State for Petroleum, who is generally perceived as politically opposed to Chief Timipre Sylva and his allies.
It is on this basis that some party members fear that the individual’s sudden closeness to you may not be driven by genuine loyalty, but by an attempt to monitor, gather, or relay information that could be used politically in the future—particularly as we move gradually towards the 2027 election cycle, where many believe you may be considered for higher leadership responsibilities.
Sir, as a leader of the Niger Delta and a senior figure in our great party, you naturally relate with all groups and stakeholders. However, I respectfully advise that you do so with utmost caution, especially with individuals whose political patterns have shown inconsistency or questionable loyalty.
This letter is written out of sincere concern as a dedicated and loyal member of the All Progressives Congress who wishes to see unity, stability, and progress within our party.
Thank you, and may God bless you.
Yours faithfully, Chief Inko Brightstar Financial Secretary, APC Ward 13, Southern Ijaw LGA
