The Oxbow Lake Pavilion, Yenagoa, came alive as leaders of the Presidential Amnesty Programme across different phases converged to celebrate the birthday of the Managing Director/CEO of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Samuel Ogbuku.

What was initially planned as a simple birthday party quickly transformed into a rallying point of unity, renewed loyalty, and a strong declaration of commitment to the peace and progress of the Niger Delta. The National Chairman of the Third Phase, General Elaye ThankGod Dollar Slaboh, alongside leaders of the Second Phase and other respected stakeholders of the Niger Delta struggle, used the occasion to reaffirm their unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

In their collective message, the leaders emphasized that their vision for the region is firmly anchored on the leadership and moral guidance of their father, mentor, and symbol of the Niger Delta struggle, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo – GOC). They noted that Tompolo has remained a stabilizing force in the region, and under his watch, they pledged to consolidate peace, empower loyal party faithful, strengthen stability, and ensure sustainable development across the Niger Delta.

The gathering further highlighted the leadership style of Dr. Samuel Ogbuku. Stakeholders described him as a bridge-builder and visionary whose inclusive approach at the NDDC has already begun to rekindle hope and confidence in the federal government’s development agenda. According to them, Ogbuku’s ability to connect grassroots communities with government programmes and deliver people-oriented projects represents the kind of leadership that the Niger Delta has long yearned for.

Speakers also stressed that the synergy between President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, Tompolo’s guidance as a father of the struggle, and Dr. Ogbuku’s commitment to service is the surest pathway to a brighter and more prosperous Niger Delta. They declared that this alignment of leadership at the federal, regional, and institutional levels will not only consolidate peace in the region but also contribute immensely to the overall stability and progress of Nigeria.

In conclusion, the birthday celebration of Dr. Samuel Ogbuku became more than a personal milestone. It turned into a defining moment of solidarity and renewed determination — a declaration that the Niger Delta, under Tompolo’s leadership and in partnership with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, stands ready to embrace a new dawn of peace, unity, and prosperity for all.
