Lawmakers were informed that the initial week of the conflict with Iran resulted in expenses exceeding $11.3 billion for the United States, as revealed in a Pentagon briefing, with a report by the New York Times highlighting the rapid depletion of resources and weapons.

This figure, as stated in the briefing, does not account for numerous costs associated with the prelude to the strikes, implying that the total cost for the first week may increase significantly.

A previous disclosure by defense officials to Congress indicated that approximately $5.6 billion worth of munitions were used in the first 48 hours of combat, according to US media reports, which far surpasses earlier public estimates of the burn rate.

The Center for Strategic and International Studies, an independent think tank in Washington, estimated that the first 100 hours of Operation Epic Fury incurred costs of $3.7 billion, equivalent to over $891 million per day.
