Akpabio hails Nigerian females on Global Women's Day

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has extended his warmest congratulations to Nigerian women on the occasion of this year's International Women's Day, noting that he himself has benefited greatly from the positive influence of women in his life, and expressing his deep appreciation for mothers as a precious gift from God.

Akpabio, through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, released a statement on Sunday acknowledging the numerous sacrifices that women make for the well-being of their families and the broader society.

In his message, Akpabio joined people around the world in celebrating the invaluable contributions of mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, colleagues, and friends who tirelessly work to make the world a better place, recognizing that their dedication and hard work can never go unappreciated.

The Senate President also reaffirmed the Senate's commitment to promoting greater female participation in economic and political processes, aligning with the theme of this year's International Women's Day, 'Give and Gain'.
