Adenuga wins nomination as BOOT Party's standard-bearer for 2027 presidential poll

Sunday Adenuga, the National Chairman of the Because of Our Tomorrow (BOOT) Party, has been chosen as the party's presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections, having run unopposed in the party's presidential primary election.

Adenuga's unopposed victory effectively secured him the party's flagbearer position, and in his acceptance remarks, he thanked party members for their confidence in his leadership, pledging to drive a "paradigm shift" in governance if elected President.

The country's significant challenges, including insecurity, rising cost of living, poor access to basic needs, and declining welfare conditions, require urgent and transformative leadership, according to Adenuga.

The BOOT Party successfully conducted its primaries using an electronic voting system, which Adenuga described as transparent, seamless, and credible, and he commended party stakeholders across the country for their role in ensuring the smooth conduct of the exercise.

Adenuga expressed his heartfelt appreciation to party leaders, members, electoral officials, aspirants, and supporters across the country for the successful conduct of the party primaries, on behalf of the National Leadership of the BOOT Party.

The exercise marked a key milestone in the party's efforts to build a stronger political movement anchored on fiduciary responsibility, obedience, and service to Nigerians, according to Adenuga.

Adenuga praised state and local government party structures for their contributions to the success of the primaries, describing their efforts as instrumental to the party's internal democratic process.

He commended all aspirants, whether successful or not, for their courage and dedication, noting that democracy requires competition and every participant has contributed to strengthening the party.
