Adamawa State Gubernatorial Hopefuls Drop Out of APC Nomination Contest, Totaling Three

In a significant development, three governorship aspirants from the All Progressives Congress in Adamawa State have withdrawn their candidacy in support of Ahmed Galadima Aminu, paving the way for his potential emergence as the party's flag-bearer ahead of today's primary election.

This move by Engr. Diaulhaq Abubakar, Comrade Mustapha Salihu, and Alhaji Ibrahim Bello Thul is driven by their desire to prioritize party unity and collective interest, as each announced their separate decisions to step down from the race.

Engr. Abubakar was the first to announce his exit, deeming it essential for the party's growth and cohesion, and he urged his supporters to shift their loyalty to Galadima and provide him with the necessary support to succeed.

In a demonstration of his commitment, Abubakar also pledged financial support and handed over his campaign offices to the Galadima campaign.

Comrade Salihu also withdrew from the race, emphasizing that the stability and progress of the APC must take precedence over personal ambition, and he simultaneously announced his intention to contest the Adamawa Central Senatorial seat.

Galadima visited Mustapha, a former National Vice Chairman of the APC, on Wednesday evening to express his gratitude, praising him for his selflessness and promising to work closely with him to advance Adamawa State's interests.

Galadima also extended his best wishes to Mustapha as he shifts his focus to the senatorial contest, in a gesture of goodwill and camaraderie.

The third aspirant, Ibrahim Bello Thul, characterized his withdrawal as an act of sportsmanship, acknowledging Galadima as a unifying figure with the capacity to rally party faithful and boost the APC's collective fortunes in Adamawa State.
