A video released on Saturday has revealed the demands of the kidnappers who abducted retired Major General Abubakar Rabe, a former Nigerian Army spokesman, and his wife, with the couple relaying the captors' requests in the recording.

The abduction occurred last weekend along the Karaduwa-Matazu Road in Katsina State, an incident that Sunday Vanguard recalls with concern.

In the four-minute, two-second video that has been circulating on social media, Rabe and his wife pleaded with the government to meet the kidnappers' demands, with his wife doing most of the talking.

According to Rabe's wife, the kidnappers are seeking the release of three of their members, specifically Sani, Aminu, and Nasiru, who were arrested in different locations.

Two of the demanded individuals were taken into custody in Jikamshi, Katsina State, while the third was arrested in Kano State, as mentioned by Rabe's wife in the video.

The kidnappers have also demanded that their allegedly seized livestock be returned to them, as stated by Rabe's wife in the video.

Rabe's wife appealed to the Katsina State Government and the leaders of five local government areas in the state to facilitate compliance with the demands, aiming to secure the release of herself and her husband.
